Companied by the cooling autumn breeze and the fragrance of Osmanthus blossoms, the 2018 opening ceremony for freshmen kicked off at the Xingjian Gymnasium on the evening of September 17.

Xuan Yong, the Party secretary, and Hong Gang, the president attended the ceremony together with other leaders of ZISU. Zhao Fa, deputy party secretary of ZISU, presided over the ceremony in both Chinese and English.

“You’ve come to ZISU at a great time, as our university is making big strides forward in recent years. We are capable of providing many excellent opportunities.” Hong Gang made a speech entitled “Never forget why you started, and you can accomplish your mission ", he welcomed the students from all over the country, and hoped that all the students remember the university motto of "virtue, perseverance, erudition, practicality", be courteous and trustworthy, noble and cultivated, diligent and persistent, try best to grow and pursue dream.

The opening ceremony of this year is divided into three chapters, including the Book Presentation Ceremony, Share of Social Practice in Yanchuan county and Trip to Singapore, and theatrical performance.

The ceremony got together many of the administrative leaders, department chairs, faculty members, office staff to meet with the new entrants, a total of over 2000 students. With a moving and memorable night, the bright-eyed newcomers opened their trip of chasing dream in university!
