On the afternoon of September 29th, the commending conference of military training of 2016 freshmen was held grandly at the school sports ground for performance showcase and summary commendation. Hong Gang, the president, and deputy president Zhao Qingrong as well as Liu Hongcai, the drillmaster of people’s liberation 73022 army, attended the conference with relevant directors.
At the commendation, President Hong Gang appreciated the hard-working drillmasters for military training. He said, military training was the first class for freshmen that would not only strengthen their consciousness of national defense and concept of discipline, but enhance the sense of group honor and team spirit, and develop good living habits likewise. Hong Gang hoped that freshmen would bring rigorous styles and discipline to life in the future. They should also study hard, set up lofty ideals and cherish precious time. Meanwhile, it was significant for freshmen to adjust themselves well in mentality and behavior to enjoy new-pace campus life.
Zhao Qingrong announced "The decision about commending advanced collectives and excellent individuals in the 2016 military training". 4 companies ,15 platoons and 113 individuals particularly outstanding in military training were commended.
In the performance showcase, square arrays consisting of 30 military training groups showed the spiritual outlook of 2016 freshmen with sonorous slogans and upright postures. Finally the anthem chorus and assault drilling reached a creditable climax within the prolonged applause and cheers.
