“Little Lotus” of ZISU appeared in CCTV News

 

On the evening of October 24th, “CCTV News” reported volunteer service of Hangzhou G20 Summit in the form of single news. This news is entitled "Hangzhou: let the volunteer service become popular”, which set the G20 summit in Hangzhou as the background, mainly reported how Hangzhou city guide students, enthusiastic citizens to actively participate in various volunteer services, and make volunteer service become popular.

 

Journalists interviewed Cao Jiajing, a student from School of English Studies of ZISU, who served as a volunteer for the G20 summit in Hangzhou. During this period, she and her classmates have received letters of thanks from foreign guests, including the letter from diplomatic personnel of Laos. Cao Jiajing tells what was written in the letter: “Every morning I will see your smile, which makes me very happy, I will remember you.”

 

It is reported that during the G20 Hangzhou summit, a total of more than 400 volunteers from ZISU participated in translation, counseling, guidance and other voluntary service work, they are active in the scenic hotel, airport, police station, communities and other different positions. “Little lotuses” of ZISU have won the praise of guests and participating units alike with their proficient foreign language and professional skills, who have sent letters of thanks and silk banners to praise and thank the outstanding performance of ZISU students and teachers working as volunteers during G20 Summit. Recently, on the summary meeting of colleges and universities volunteer service work during Hangzhou G20 summit, which is jointly organized by the provincial education department and provincial Party committee, ZISU and teachers and students of ZISU won a number of honors and titles, including "outstanding contribution award" for the Hangzhou G20 summit, "advanced group", "advanced individual" and "advanced worker".
