Polish Female Pianist Joanna Lawrynowicz’s Solo Concert Was Held in ZISU


Recently, famous Polish female pianist Joanna Lawrynowicz’s solo concert was held in the Dream Auditorium of Xiaoheshan Campus. Cai Mengling, cultural counselor of Polish Embassy in Beijing, Zhang Jihong, chairman of Hangzhou Huayi Culture & Art Co., Ltd, and related directors form Party branch of School of Arts listened to the concert with nearly a thousand teachers and students.

 


The concert is divided into two halves. Joanna played many classical Chopin’s compositions, including Op. posth. 66: Fantaisie-Impromptu in C-sharp minor, Op. 18: Grande valse brillante in E-flat major, Op. 32: Nocturne in B major, Op. 20: Scherzo No. 1 in B minor, and Op.posth: Polonaise in G-flat major. Every piece of composition is smooth, affectionate, and different in style, and successfully brings the audiences to the romanticism of Chopin. When two Chinese compositions “My Motherland” and “The Moon Represents My Heart” were played, the auditorium broke into enthusiastic applause and pushed the concert to the climax.

 


Before the concert, Joanna held a piano master class, which attracted many music majors from the School of Art. After listening carefully to the performances of several students, Joanna instructed sentence by sentence in a professional way and demonstrated personally.
