The founding of fellowship society of ZISU young faculties and its first representative assembly was held in multifunctional hall of Fangcaoyuan Hotel in the afternoon of May 8. Deputy Party secretary Luo Bowei attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

Luo Bowei pointed that as fresh activists in the reform, construction and development of ZISU, ZISU young faculty groups matters the future development of ZISU, matters the talents cultivations in the future and have a big influence on the educational cause in the future. ZISU has placed strong hope on young faculties and paid close attention to their growth. The founding of fellowship society of ZISU young faculties has provided a common platform for the young faculties’ strengthening exchanges and common growth. We must actively support the work of fellowship society of ZISU young faculties; we must build this “home” for young faculties, and practically serve for young faculties and the development of ZISU.

Luo Bowei put forward three hopes in his speech. First, he hopes the fellowship society could work actively and play its due role according to the overall development and construction of ZISU, according to the development and growth of young faculties and according to serving the local economic and social development. Second, he hopes young faculties could make full use of the fellowship society to promote noble morality, carry out academic exchanges and elevate their glamour, teaching and scientific research level, in order to make positive contribution to ZISU's building of a first-class multidisciplinary university with foreign language as a distinctive feature. Third, he hopes all faculties in ZISU could further enhance the awareness of respecting teachers, and create a good environment for the growth and development of young faculties.

The assembly deliberated and passed the “constitution of fellowship society of ZISU young faculties (draft)”, and elected the first council. Mao Zhenhua was elected president, Zhan Xiaosi, Tang Jun and Sheng Wenyuan was elected vice president. Shao Wanbi form School of European Languages and Cultures and newly elected president Mao Zhenhua delivered their speeches on behalf of young faculties and first council respectively.

After the inaugural meeting, the fellowship society held its first activity. Professor Zhou Mingqiang, the first “excellent university & college teachers” of Zhejiang and the nominee of the first “most beautiful teacher” in Zhejiang, was invited to communicate with representatives of young faculties. Professor Zhou expressed warm congratulations to the founding of the fellowship society on behalf of ZISU senior teachers. He inspired young teachers to promote morality, courage, hard work and innovation with his own experiences of growing up and teaching achievements.

Related directors from University’s Office, Organization Department, Teaching Affairs Office, Office of Academic Research, Human Resources Division, Labor Union, The Youth League Committee and Teacher Development Center as well as more than 60 young faculties attended the assembly.
