New Semester, Differences for Foreign Students

At the beginning of the new semester, students have returned to the campus to begin a new semester of study, but they have noticed a lot of differences.

Different students
In this new semester, ZISU has enrolled a total of 17 new students from the United States, Tajikistan, Mongolia, Vietnam, Cuba and other countries. Fifty-two foreign students covered 7 " Belt and Road" countries and 8 G20 countries. They have the same goal, which is to learn Chinese and understand Chinese, and achieve their future success by coming to China.

Different courses
All language students have noticed the new term "welfare" when they get the timetable. The language class hour increases! There is HSK test counseling! There is Chinese salon on every Friday noon. “Chinese Saloon” is jointly build by 10 volunteers of Chinese International Education major in the School of Chinese Studies, it aims at helping foreign students appreciate the profound Chinese culture behind the Chinese language through one hour’s cultural experience activities on each Friday.

Different Orientation Education
During Orientation education, College of International Education issued the "Student Handbook" and image-text concise introduction, signed security agreements with students, designed the orientation education examine papers, and required every student to answer and master the questions, in order to deepen their understanding of some important instructions, such as report to the police, insurance claims, campus behavior norms etc.

Different Outings
College of International Education organized foreign students to carry out “leave no trace” outdoor activities. During the 20 km mountain walk of seven hours, foreign students enjoyed the beauty of the early spring while searching for living garbage left in the mountains. Sasha from Russia said that Hangzhou is her "home" in China, thus she is very happy to make some contributions for her “home”.
