The Seventh Session of the Yangtze River Delta Region Korean Education International Conference was Held in ZISU

 

The seventh session of the Yangtze River Delta Region Korean Education International Conference was held on Xiaoheshan Campus of ZISU on April 16th. This conference is hosted by ZISU. Li Shan Yu, education consul of Korean Consulate General in Shanghai, Jin Zhenkun, culture consul and director of Korean Culture Institute, and Cao Renqing, vice president of ZISU, attended the conference. More than 120 Korean education experts and scholars from more than 30 domestic and abroad colleges and universities, such as Seoul National University in South Korea, Kyoto Sangyo University in Japan and Fudan University attended the meeting. During the opening ceremony, Cao Renqing warmly welcomed friends come from far away, and introduced development process, characteristics and professional settings of ZISU. He said that language not only function as a tool for daily communication, but also set up a bridge of friendship between people of two countries. The seminar provides platform for Chinese and South Korean experts and scholars to communicate on the current domestic and international status of the Korean language education and teaching methods and plays an important role to promote the mutual trust among scholars, mutual cooperation between the Korean language department in different colleges and universities, and enhanced friendship and mutually beneficial development between China and the ROK. ZISU is willing to build a high quality platform to make the Korean educational achievement effectively serves China and South Korea cultural exchange.


Professor Yin Ruzhuo, representative director of Korean language and literature association in ROK, professor Jin Yong Shou, President of China Korean Language Education Research Association, and professor Jin Jian Ren, director of Korea Research Institute of Zhejiang University, and executive vice president of China and South Korea economic and cultural exchanges association of Zhejiang Province, delivered speeches to the conference respectively. The session lasted for one day and it includes presentation, demonstration lessons and group discussion. The experts and scholars observed the demonstration Korean class of ZISU, and conducted in-depth discussion and exchange in three aspects of pronunciations, grammar teaching method research, literary and cultural theory teaching method research, and translation, Chinese characters and writing teaching method research in the discussion session after class.


The Korean teaching conference is an important event in the Korean language education circles, it was first launched by Fudan University in 2010 and has been successfully held for six times. It aims to enliven the Korean education in Yangtse River Delta region and promote the exchanges and cooperation of Korean education between different universities.
