ZISU Has Signed a Cooperation Agreement with the University of Passau, Germany and Seidel Hans Foundation

 

On the afternoon of September 12th, President Hong Gang met with Professor Ursula Roy Turner, the vice president of University of Passau and Dr. Shao Beide, director of Seidel Hans Foundation and the entourage, and formally signed a cooperation agreement between the three parties.

 

Hong Gang warmly welcomed the Germans, and described the development, characteristics, internationalization of ZISU, and the German major situation to the guests. Hong Gang pointed out that the year 2016 is the teacher education reform year in Zhejiang province, and ZISU took the lead in carrying out the construction of teacher development school in Zhejiang, which not only made ZISU able to accept normal students in practice, but also laid the foundation and strength for accepting international normal students to experience Chinese school culture and classroom practice. The cooperation made jointly building the Sino-German Institute of Education as the starting point, which is the "international teacher development school" and international research cooperation platform, and tries to promote the practice and exchanges between students from the two sides, and promote the faster and better development of German Department of ZISU.

 

Hong Gang said that the three parties cooperation is the result of sincere cooperation in the past 28 years with the Hans Seidel foundation, is the result of powerful alliance with the University of Passau in the past 6 years and the results of the dedicated research and practice of basic education over the past 60 years of ZISU. In the future, ZISU will continue to work with the University of Passau, Hans Seidel foundation and basic education circle in Zhejiang Province to cooperate in depth, and build an innovative, dynamic, linked, inclusive education exchange mechanism between China and Germany, and try to contribute to the deepening of bilateral relations and promote educational reform and development.

 

At the meeting, the presidents and directors from three parties awarded the "international teachers development school” plaque to Hangzhou Xuejun Primary School, Hangzhou maiyuqiao Primary School, Hangzhou New Century Foreign Language School and the Hangzhou Yangtze River Experimental Primary School.
Directors form International Department, School of Teachers Training, Scientific Research Department, Office of Teaching affairs, School of European Language and Culture attend the meeting, and had a full exchange of views on issues such as the scientific research cooperation, degree granting, exchange students management, Sino German environmental education cooperation projects etc.
