In order to advertise ZISU abroad, enhance and expand the cooperation and communication with European universities, and do overseas research to improve collaboratively three strategies of “branding, internationalization, clustering”, thus raise the internationalization standard of ZISU, delegation headed by Party Sectary Yao Chengrong paid formal visits to five cooperative universities in Spain, Britain and Russia. Escorts include Shen Gang, member of the Party Committee and university office director as well as related directors from School of English Language and Culture & School of European and Asian Language and Culture.

The delegation visited Complutense University of Madrid and University of Rovira i Virgili in Spain, and conducted an advanced talk on combined training of students and teacher exchange, and signed an inter-university agreement. Yao Chengrong paid a special visit to 25 teachers and students major in Spanish, who are from School of European and Asian Language and Culture of ZISU and now studying at University of Rovira iVirgili. Yao Chengrong held a discussion with all people and encouraged them to cherish the opportunity to complete their study as soon as possible.

In Britain, delegation met Shen Yang, minister counselor of Education Section, Embassy of China in the UK, and reported the achievements since reformation and renaming as well as the medium and long term development plan of ZISU. The delegation exchanged view with representatives from University of Hertfordshire and University of Reading on issues like sending ZISU students to Britain to study, British students’ training in China, Chinese-foreign cooperative education on business subjects and teachers exchange.

During his trip to Russia, Yao Chengrong signed the memorandum of understanding with Irina Khaleyeva, president of Moscow State Linguistic University, and conducted an in-depth discussion and an extensive exchange on issues like joint education of students along with high-level inter university cooperation. This talk expressed our best wish to develop the subject advantages of both universities in order to cooperate pragmatically and received a thorough understanding as well as positive response from the other side.
