Advanced Technology Creates Better Foreign Languages Teaching

School of Asian Languages and Cultures held training session about IT in classroom

 

“In contrast to fields like medicine, changes and penetration of information technology in teaching area is far less thorough and timely, yet the application of information technology plays an extremely important and significant role in the improvement of effectiveness and efficiency in teaching.”


For foreign language teaching, audio production is not only the needed content of information technology in class, but also is a common means for daily self-made teaching materials. In order to enrich classroom teaching methods continuously and to enhance the effectiveness of teaching, all faculties of School of Asian Languages and Culture gathered in the multi-Media lab of Xiaoheshan Campus on April 9, and held a training session around the theme of “the use of audio in classroom IT application”. Shi Qile, IT associate professor of ZISU was invited to give a lecture. Shi Qile gave a brief introduction to the importance of IT in classroom teaching as well as some professional audio editing softwares, and carefully explained and demonstrated in a profound yet simple way for issues like common concepts in audio production, how to edit and produce an educational audio rich in context, and the effective definition of micro lesson. During the training, the teachers were actively involved, and conducted an in-depth communication and interaction with Shi Qile.
