A conference sharing the experiences of a delegation in the campaign of “My Chinese Dream—Youth full of struggle is the most rewarding”, an event of going down to the grass-roots units initiated by the Central Committee of the Youth League, was convened in ZISU, and this conference is the first of the series of meetings to be held in Zhejiang Province by the delegation representing the Central Committee of the Youth League. Those who attended this conference include Jianwei ZHANG, deputy director of Division of Propaganda of Theories, and Guiyun YANG, deputy director of Division of Culture and Physical Education, Department of Propaganda, Central Committee of the Youth League, Bin ZHU, deputy secretary of Provincial Committee of the Youth League, Fa ZHAO, vice secretary of the Party Committee, ZISU, directors of Student Support Services, the Youth League Committee, and Department of Social Sciences, ZISU, as well as 100 plus student representatives.
During the meeting, the stories of the inspirational struggling experiences were shared by the six members of the delegation, consisting of Yongsi ZHAN, director of Millennium Contemporary Art Gallery, oil painter, and independent curator, Luyuan LIU, executive director and COE of Fujian Net Dragon Computer Network Information Technology Co., LTD., Xin GUO, undergraduate of Grade 2011 of Nankai University and one of the Chinese College Students of the Year 2012, Fuxin Zhang, general manager of Jiangsu Zhongke-Menglan Electronic Technology Co., LTD. and winner of May 4th Medal for the Youth in China, Yan ZHANG, crane driver of operation department, Shanghai Chengdong International Container Co., LTD. and winner of May 1st Labor Medal, Shengquan ZENG, former officer of some division of Shenyang Military Region, student of PLA Academy of Military Officers, and winner of May 4th Medal for Chinese. They shared their own experiences with the attendees in a sincere manner, giving those present a keen sense of the power of struggle and dream and convincing them of the truth that all good things can be created by anyone with dream, opportunity and struggle. Through this conference, students have gained a better understanding of the word “youth full of struggle is the most rewarding” and empowered with the desire for dream and the motivation for struggle. Listening attentively to those peer guest speakers dealing with their struggling experiences and outstanding achievements, students present burst into thunderous applause and wore an understanding smile. In addition, students present communicated with those speakers in terms of the topics of their own interest and the topics striking a chord in their heart during the interaction session.
It is understood that this going-down-to-the-grassroots campaign is the most important event of the series of experience-sharing activities featuring the theme of “My Chinese Dream—Youth Full of Struggle is the most rewarding”. The 28 representatives involved in this campaign are selected from 1100 outstanding young people recommended by the Youth League at various levels acrossChina, standing for excellent youths from college students, young workers, rural migrant young workers, rural youths and other youths from other walks of life. After this conference, the six members of the delegation dispatched to Zhejiang Province will depart for other places including Zhejiang University in separate groups for the same purpose.
