American students getting access to Chinese culture in museums


The party committee of the School of English Language and Culture engaged the American students on the Project of Experiencing China in a visit to the Museum of the Government Kiln of the Southern Song Dynasty and the Museum of Hangzhou Cuisine on May 18, the World Museum Day. This visit was designed to acquaintthe overseas students with Chinese culture.  



During this visit, the overseas students looked around each exhibition room with great interest, exposing themselves to the culture related to the government kiln ofancient China and the culinary culture. Their personal visit and the English introduction by the teachers of School of English Language and Culture provided them with visual access to the cultural charm of Hangzhou, an ancient culturalcity.   



This activity aimed not only to educate the party members of the School of English Language and Culture, but also to provide a cross-cultural exchange in the wake of Experiencing Tea Culture by American students in the last year. The overseas students on the Project of Experiencing China all showed their strong love for traditional Chinese culture and beautiful Hangzhou.
